Managing your prescriptions with ease and certainty.
Whether your doctor issues a digital eScript token sent via SMS or a traditional paper prescription, we ensure accurate dispensing, repeat tracking, and professional pharmacist advice.
How do you prefer to receive your prescriptions?
Both electronic scripts and traditional paper prescriptions are fully supported under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
Electronic Prescriptions (eScripts)
During your GP or telehealth consultation, your doctor sends a unique electronic token to your smartphone via SMS or email containing a secure QR code.
How to fill your eScript:
Show the SMS token on your phone at our counter, or call us on (03) 9808 0000 before arriving.
Paper Prescriptions & Repeats on File
Traditional printed prescription slips signed by your doctor. You can hand them to us in person or leave your repeat slips securely on file with our dispensary.
How to leave scripts on file:
Ask our pharmacist during your next visit. We provide you with a written receipt listing your stored repeats.
Never lose a script again: Active Script List (ASL)
Active Script List (also known as My Script List) is a secure, national digital health service that consolidates all your current electronic prescriptions in one private repository.
Instead of searching through old text messages for an individual token, you give Wellstead Pharmacy one-time permission to view your active list. Whenever your doctor generates an eScript, it automatically appears on your profile ready for dispensing.
Why Surrey Hills patients love ASL:
- No deleted or buried SMS messages
- Doctors upload directly from consulting rooms
- Ideal for ongoing chronic heart, asthma, or blood pressure medicines
- Revoke access at any time
Under the Australian Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 and Ahpra advertising guidelines, pharmacies are legally prohibited from advertising Schedule 4 and Schedule 8 prescription medications to the public. All prescription medicines require an authentic, unexpired prescription from a doctor registered in Australia.
For security, confidentiality, and clinical safety, we do not dispense medications through unverified automated shopping carts. If you have any questions regarding your prescription, please contact our dispensary team directly at (03) 9808 0000.
