What the service involves

1Your doctor sends you an electronic prescription token as an SMS or email containing a unique QR barcode.

2You present your smartphone token at our counter, or phone/message us with the token beforehand.

3Our dispensing system scans the token, retrieves the encrypted prescription data directly from the national script exchange, and prepares your medication.

4If repeats remain on the prescription, a new token is immediately issued to your smartphone or saved to your Active Script List.

Keep your phone charged and have your token SMS or email accessible when visiting.

If you would like to activate your Active Script List (ASL), bring photo ID and your Medicare card for one-time identity verification.

Fees & Subsidies

There is no surcharge or fee for dispensing electronic prescriptions. Standard PBS medicine co-payments or private prescription prices apply as normal.

Clinical Limitations & Safety Information

Under Australian law (TGA and state health departments), prescription medications cannot be dispensed without a valid, unexpired electronic token or original signed paper prescription. Once a token is dispensed, it cannot be reused; a new repeat token is generated automatically.
