What the service involves

1Resting quietly in our consultation room for 3–5 minutes before measurements begin.
2Pharmacist checking your blood pressure across 2 to 3 consecutive readings for clinical consistency.
3Explaining what the systolic and diastolic numbers mean according to Australian Heart Foundation ranges.
4Recording the result on your personal card, noting trends over time.
5Providing immediate guidance if a reading warrants prompt GP review or emergency assessment.

Fees & Subsidies

Routine blood pressure checks and inhaler technique consultations are provided free of charge as part of our community health commitment. A standard professional fee applies for issuing statutory Absence from Work certificates.

Clinical Limitations & Safety Information

Pharmacy health checks are screening and monitoring services. They are not a substitute for comprehensive medical evaluation or cardiology diagnosis. If your blood pressure reading is severely elevated or accompanied by chest pain, shortness of breath, or neurological symptoms, we immediately coordinate emergency medical care.
